Komen for the Cure

Posted by Eve_Mattie on Dec 25 2007 | Life Keeps Happening!

Mattie Mills personal voyage to recovery has effectively resonated with the San Diego community and she has been chosen to serve as the 2007 Honorary Breast Cancer Survivor for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.

Check out our photo album from that incredible day!

Mattie talks to the crowd before the race about her journey
and being the honorary survivor.

After starting the race for the runners, Mattie cheers on the
walkers as they begin the race!

Eve joins Mattie’s team, Music for Mattie, with friend Phoebe and
son, Henry!

Walking on 163 North trying to catch up to Mattie’s sign!

We finally catch up to Mattie right before the end of the race.
That’s Mike on the left and Dennis on the right holding her team signs!

We pass the finish line with Mattie’s team!

Eve catches up and crosses the finish line with her tongue screaming
for water!!

Mattie and Eve and the end of a beautiful day!!
